Flexibility for Golf

Flexibility the key to successful golf.

The natural inherited composition of your muscles and the construction of the skeletal system results in s muscle structure that result in the flexor muscles of the body generally being stronger and more powerful than the extensors. When muscle imbalances occurs the load and pull on the groups of muscles causes poor sports technique or injury.

Golfers spend long periods of time in flexed positions and the muscles of flexion contract and produce forces that the extensors find difficult to balance off without good levels of flexibility and mobility.

All players should spend time encouraging flexibility and mobility in the lower body muscles and joints. The exercises are essential for all players who want to get the best from their body and improve their game.

Do three sets of each exercise every day. you or your coach will soon begin to see the improvements in your movement patterns and swing efficiency.
