I'm Sam Sparks, Owner and Sports Therapist at Sports Performance Solutions, where I provide an extensive range of sports therapy treatments and services to athletes and fitness enthusiasts across London, Surrey and Bristol.
My Story
Since finishing my degree in Sports Therapy in 2016, I have worked closely with athletes and recreational sports persons, supporting them through times of performance and recovery. Over the years, I have developed a comprehensive set of skills and expertise in the field, including assessment and evaluation, injury prevention and rehab techniques, manual therapy and exercise prescription. I often strive to update and expand my knowledge through continual personal development and advanced education courses.
I have practiced Martial arts for over 25 years, during which I have won numerous WAKO British titles. My dedication to the sport has led me to compete nationally and internationally, representing Team GB and securing a prestigious bronze medal at the World Championships. This extensive experience has granted me invaluable insights into the physical and mental demands associated with training at an elite level, as well as the resilient mindset and body management required to excel.
In the wake of the pandemic, I have embraced new challenges such as taking up boxing and long-distance running, most recently completing a 50 km distance in a single continuous run. My experiences within high-level sports have given me a diverse understanding of the physical and mental demands training at this level endures and the stresses and demands put on the body to stay at the top of the game.
With my diverse background and unwavering commitment to excellence, I am well-equipped to deliver unparalleled support and guidance to athletes, enabling them to reach their peak performance and thrive in the face of rigorous challenges. My passion for sports fuels my dedication to staying at the forefront of this ever-evolving field.
