Sam’s approach to sports performance is built on over 25 years of dedicated training and elite-level competition. His background spans from representing Team GB in kickboxing to competing in ultra-distance endurance events, giving him a uniquely well-rounded understanding of strength, conditioning and performance under pressure. He combines this first-hand experience with ongoing professional development to deliver training that reflects real-world demands. His focus is on building resilient, high-performing athletes through structured, intelligent programming that prioritises long-term progression and sustainable results.

With over 10 years of experience in sports therapy, Sam has developed a deep, practical understanding of injury management, rehabilitation and recovery. His work is shaped not only by his BSc Sports Therapy and formal education, but by years of managing high training loads and navigating injuries within his own performance journey. This allows him to take a realistic, results-driven approach to treatment. Continually refining his skills in manual therapy and recovery strategies, Sam provides tailored support designed to keep clients performing at their best while reducing the risk of setbacks.

Sam’s sporting foundation was built through over 25 years in martial arts, competing at elite level from a young age. As a member of Team GB, he achieved multiple WAKO British titles and earned a World Championship bronze medal. Competing on the international stage instilled a high level of discipline, resilience and mental toughness, qualities that continue to define both his coaching philosophy and his personal approach to training. His experience at this level gives him a clear understanding of what it takes to perform under pressure and consistently progress.

Ultra Running

Transitioning from combat sport to endurance performance, he now applies the same competitive mindset to ultra-distance running. He regularly takes on demanding events that test both physical and mental limits, continuing to push his own boundaries. This experience gives him a deep, practical understanding of endurance training, fuelling, recovery and pacing strategies. By actively competing, he ensures his approach remains current, relevant and grounded in real experience, allowing him to guide others with credibility and confidence.

My approach is simple: assess properly, explain clearly, and build a plan you can actually follow. I blend current sports science with what I’ve learned from years of training and competing myself, so your rehab and training feel realistic, not theoretical.
